Illustration to the poem of Robert Burns
John Faed did a series of illustrations to the poem ''Tam o'Shanter''. This depicts the most famous scene of the poem where Tam and his mare just reach safety over the Brig o'Doon as the witch reaches out and grabs Meg's tail.
